Renee Frechette
Renee is originally from New York and has lived in Florida for six years. She is a student with ACHS studying Complementary Alternative Medicine, and enjoys writing, painting, hiking and meditation. Renee studies Supreme Science Qigong led by Jeff Primack, and recently obtained her certification to teach Level 1 Healing Form.

Renee finds that Qigong provides a direct connection to the Mystery of life while encouraging healing through increased circulation, stress relief, improved digestion, and greater energy. She looks forward to sharing the power of a practice that allows one to both honor the body and honor with the body.


Ryon Speir
Ryon is a native of Florida, raised in Port St. John. He is a Computer Animation graduate of the Art Institue of Ft. Lauderdale, and also holds a degree in Drafting and Design Technology from BCC. He is a Graphic Artist in Downtown Melbourne. Ryon also designs handcrafted journals and sketchbooks, and is a talented artist and avid hiker.

Ryon has practiced Karate and Kabuto, and is a certified instructor of Level 1 Healing Form. Qigong has significantly helped him become more aware of the limitless energy all around him, and enjoys sharing that with his students.


Greg Nardi
Downtown Yoga was fortunate to have Greg a part of the teaching staff before becoming a founding member of Miami Life Center. His understanding of Ashtanga Yoga is fabulous and his style of teaching is fantastic. He uses hands-on adjustments to aid each student in building a solid foundation and connection to their body.

Lewis Rothlein
Lewis offers workshops at Downtown Yoga covering topics suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. He offers deep insight into Ashtanga Yoga's 2nd Series, currently a class not offered at Downtown Yoga.

Lucia d'Ancona
Lucia d'Ancona (Vibhuti Jaya) is a Yoga Alliance designated RYT-500 instructor of yoga and a member of the KYTA (Kripalu Yoga Teacher's Association). Her teaching style is Kripalu-inspired vinyasa flow yoga with emphasis on breath and the fusion of the mind-body aspects of Self.
Lucia has taught her Moon Fire Yoga classes as Downtown Yoga's evening Karma yoga series, a donation based offering that grants students the opportunity to practice yoga at whatever price they can afford. Her most favorite thing is introducing yoga to beginners and individuals with limited mobility. Lucia is pursuing a doctorate in Psychology, and is the founder of The Yoga Vartula!, a yoga-based intervention for participants who struggle with disorders related to food, weight and body image.


Stephanie Cooper & Amanda Morsics
Zumba is a workout experience like none other! It's exciting! It's high energy! It's dynamic! Amanda and Stephanie are thrilled to be joining the Downtown Yoga family and look forward to helping more people ditch the routine and join the party!

Stephanie is a Registered Nurse with over 7 years of cardiovascular experience and is currently pursuing an advanced degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Stephanie was drawn to Zumba after having two boys and immediately noticing the fast results. Fueled by Zumba's infectious nature, Stephanie has not only lost weight, but lowered her cholesterol by nearly seventy-five points. For Stephanie, Zumba has been a positive lifestyle change both physically and mentally.

Stephanie's certifications include: Registered Nurse, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, CPR and Zumba Instructor.

Amanda is a native Floridian who has lived most of her life in Brevard County. Her pursuit of higher education took her to the University of Florida where she earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. Her chemical engineering degree took her to Texas where she spent 6 years working for the Dow Chemical Company. While in Texas, Amanda received her MBA at the University of Houston.

Upon becoming a mom for the first time in December of 2004, Amanda left the corporate world behind and moved back to the Sunshine State. She is now the proud mother of two sons and is honored to have the opportunity to stay at home with them. After the birth of her second child Amanda discovered Zumba as a way to have fun, relieve stress and get back in shape. Two and half years later Amanda decided to kick it up a notch and became a certified Zumba instructor. Amanda is also certified in CPR.
