Yoga Levels
The intesity level of your class is designated by the following:

Class Descriptions
Ashtanga
This sequence of postures systematically moves fresh oxygenated blood to 100% of the body-every organ, gland, bone, joint, muscle, ligament, tendon, tissue, blood vessel, nerve glad.

During class, your body will generate heat to ease muscles and joints, prevent injury and aid in the healing of existing injuries, as well as promoting detoxification through sweating.

Basics
Focus on the fundamental postures and combine breath with movement in order to build strength and flexibility. You will be guided through the entire standing series and the closing seated sequence.
Level 1
Sun Salutations A&B, Standing series and seated series with Vinyasa (breath and movement) between seated postures. Recommended after 4 Basics Classes.
Ashtanga Mix
Experience a variety of postures from the primary and second series to build strength, flexibility and concentration.
Mysore
Coming soon! This class is for all levels. You move through the Ashtanga Primary Series at your own pace. This class will be offered at 6am on Wednesday's. Interested, click here!

Downtown Yoga Flow
We take the best Yoga has to offer and create a dynamic blend of postures to obtain ultimate results: strength, flexibility and balance. The postures selected will strengthen every muscle, massage every organ, develop internal heat to detoxify your body and flush your systems. Furthermore, the class sequence changes, so your body and mind are constantly challenged, new muscles are used in different ways, developing sound balance and flexibility.
Flow I
Strengthen the mind/body connection by linking breath with a series of dynamic postures. Be prepared to stretch your body and your mind. Each posture will be held up to 1 minute or more. All levels of experience are welcome to attend.
Vinyasa Flow II
You will link each posture with breath awareness while stretching every muscle. You will stretch every muscle in your body, lubricate your joints, massage you internal organs and flush toxins from your systems. All levels of experience are welcome to attend.
Core Yoga
This uniquely designed class will strengthen and activate your core. Flow through a series of foundation postures followed by postures targeting your core. Class will include: standing, balancing, arm balancing and seated postures focusing on your core. Be prepared to sweat, challenge your mind and body!
Hatha Yoga
This class combines movement and stillness, effort and ease. The instructor will verbally guide you through subtle adjustments to your alignment and incorporate dynamic movements that creatively changes energy in your mind and body. This class will help you develop strength, flexibility, reduce tension, improve your posture and stimulate your immune system.

Prenatal Yoga
Downtown Yoga's Prenatal Yoga Classes are an ideal way to stay healthy during pregnancy. Mommies-to-be will relax and stretch into postures that encourage flexibility and strength. The Prenatal Yoga Program at Downtown Yoga focuses on breath awareness. You will learn to use your breath to enter each posture, to feel the posture, and to safely exit the posture. If you are looking for some down time to focus on you and your precious baby for 60 minutes, you will find total bliss at Downtown Yoga. Each class is set to a lovely playlist of gentle music and a serene ambience.
Mommy and Me
Come and enjoy a fun yoga class with your little one. This class allows mom's to regain strength and flexibility, bond with baby in an enjoyable and relaxing environment. Come and improve your posture, core strength, reduce tension and stimulate your immune system.
